I love these gloves. Color was started early this morning after several coats of gesso yesterday. According to my teacher, gesso is prime. Not only does it size canvas, it makes the barrier betweeb the canvas that protects the paint from being changed as the peice ages.
ReplyDeleteThe accrilic paint color, after completely covering the foam core with coats of gesso, has gesso added to make the colors very flat. There is a special quality between different adjacent flat colors that sometimes will show a black seperation line where there is none and also, at times,a 3 dimensional quality as well.
