Purely abstract in the original version has now taken on a duck snake portion. I have been studying this one for a while. A friend and fellow artist suggested that I do one with several seperate sections that stand alone and could be put together aas well. I remember the "exploded" fish I did recently and this one will also be "exploded" into four or five pieces. In this way, the depths of each piece can be adjusted as well so when the fit together, they can be at different levels.
This one calls for black and white. I like the stark contrast. It fits together like a 4 piece puzzle and, IMO, should be hung seperately. The addition of some eyes on the reverse sides makes them into animals. I discoverd this last night and added in the eyes and a belly button in one case.

ReplyDeleteComing along. Reverse side has new work done and gesso applied and the front side has several coats of gesso too.
